Based on Markus Grabner's Pod XT driver for Linux, I started to develop a gui for this excellent Guitar stuff.

It is currently under development (not beta or even alpha) and only the knobs are really synced with the pod.

It is developped in python using the GTK bidings (pyGTK)

The easy stuff has been done, now it's time to have a llok at the stomp connections (which are a bit trickier as the knobs number may vary depending on the stomp chosen).

I would be happy to test your code, even it's alpha quality. Just got line6usb working :)

is this abandoned? is there anything usable?

Usable ... mmm not really (the only thing that really work is that all knobs are really linked to the POD XT ones)

Let's say at this stage it is just a "proof of concept". I may work on it soon again but did not have enough time these weeks ...

But first, I have to re-compile line6usb and modify podXTGui so that it use midi rather than direct file writing.

Me too, i would be very interested in this kind of interface since i just got a PODxt Live. line6usb is working on my Fedora 8 PlanetCCRMA box. But i would like more control over my PODxt. I can help with coding and/or testing.

Didn't have much time to work on it these days (I moved from one home to another anbd I still miss an xDSL connexion)

I will look to set-up a SVN server so that other people may have a llok at the code if they want to
